Refresh Your Browsers
By proph3t Aug 3, 2007 · 0 Comments
So, welcome to the newly updated ToonGum! We've pushed live a set of updates on both ToonGum and GameGum that cover just about ever area of the website, all the way from you view the Toons to the user's Control Panels. Below is the full list of updates we made live today:
Beta Games
Yep! Submit your game as beta to allow users to give you direct feedback, and then take it out of beta to see it on the front page. This will see some more updating soon as we have a few more integration ideas to implement.
Header Redesign, Site Refresh
A bit roomier, easier and better looking. It shouldn't take too much getting used to, we tried to keep everything as simple as it was before while still adding functionality.
New Skin
Ok, so this isn't live yet. There's good news though. It will be making it's debut once we get the "Levels" features integrated. Instead of being available to all users, it will be an unlockable bonus for those users that reach a certain level. Look out for it soon!
User Pictures
Upload a nice big picture of you and see it on the right side of your profile!
Profile Board
On each users' profile there is now a "Board" that allows you to leave them a comment. This will see some small updates in the near future as well, but we figured since we have the basics done we may as well launch it now.
AJAX Comment Pages
All comment areas now are fully AJAXed! Not only that but Internet Explorer users can now do AJAX commenting as well! This allows you to truly navigate and post comments without interrupting your gaming a bit.
Forum Updates
A new commenting message box that fits better with the site and is easy to use. We also implemented the "read" and "unread" threads feature. Unread threads will be bold until you click on them. This allows you to keep better track of whats new in the forum.
Small Updates and Bugfixes
Many optimizations have already been made making load times faster and any minor bugs have been fixed. Many smaller enhancements have been made live as well. The "Popup in Full Size" button now is highlighted in green when the game is larger than the viewing window.
So, there you go! Look out soon for a second round of updates as well as new on the API and much much more!
